Dallas Cowboys edge-rusher Micah Parsons was ticked after the Philadelphia Eagles landed a potential steal in the first round of the NFL Draft on Thursday night.

"I mean, honestly, I'm utterly disgusted how lucky the Eagles are," Parsons said on Bleacher Report's live stream after Philadelphia took Toledo cornerback Quinyon Mitchell with the 22nd overall selection. "He checks every box. I think this is a terrific pick. I don't know how [general manager Howie Roseman] and them get so lucky."
In his final seven-round mock draft, ESPN's Jordan Reid had the Jacksonville Jaguars taking Mitchell with the 17th overall pick, so it's a bit surprising he fell to the Eagles.
Mitchell should strengthen Philadelphia's secondary, which is one reason the Eagles finished 30th in the league in passing yards allowed (255.7) last season. According to Pro Football Focus, in 13 games in 2023, he tied for third in the FBS in forced incompletions (17).
This doesn't bode well for the Cowboys, who rely heavily on their passing attack and face Philadelphia twice a year.
